Surely you've tried a program for video editing, and the vast majority of those times you have become desperate due to the terribly complicated that these programs often are, with so many options, tools, bars and many other extras, and with the aggravating circumstance that almost all of them are shareware and work only for a limited period of time.
Well, all those complications are finished with Free Video Dub, which is certainly not the best video editor, but it is extremely practical and with the great advantage that it is totally free, and also lets you make video editions without recompressing or re-encoding the video. Although it is not at a professional level, it is more than acceptable for the needs of an ordinary user.
Free Video Dub is especially designed for cutting parts of the video with support for multiple video formats, as it allows you to edit AVI (DivX, Xvid, MPEG 4), MPEG, MOV, MP4, MPG and Flash FLV videos. It also lets you edit, cut, paste, duplicate, fragment, unlimited redo/undo, scan for the next scene, and so on. And all this without re-encoding! It is more than enough to make your own video editions in an easy, quick and simple way. It saves the output file in the same directory where the input file is, keeping its name but adding the "_CUT" suffix, automatically. You can also select the output directory and the output file name.
You only choose the video, select the start point and end point to cut and ready. Also, if you want, you can retrieve what you cut with the Undo button, and of course, save the result without recompressing or re-encoding the file, resulting in a lossless and much faster rendering.
It's a very simple but useful tool if what you need to do is just delete portions of a video file.
Its lossless rendering allows you to keep the quality of the original video, despite of the many cuts or edits you make, maintaining always the same level as the original video file.
When installing it, you see the agreement to accept the ASK search toolbar installation, but you can unselect the "accept" option, you do not need it to run the program. |
